Position Title:           Bus Monitor

Reports To:               Director of Operations

FLSA Status:             Non-exempt

Length of Contract:  Salary and work year to be established by the

                                  Board of Education.

 

SUMMARY:

The Bus Monitor, under the supervision of the Director of Operations, is responsible for supervision of scholars on school buses.  He/she represents the South Conway County School District by communicating with scholars and the public through his/her interaction with others on the job.  The Bus Monitor’s primary responsibility is to maximize safety while supervising students in his/her care as the bus is being operated by the assigned bus driver.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The Bus Monitor will be evaluated by the Director of Operations, in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned.

 EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Pass all appropriate background checks; Previous school bus driving experience preferred.
